A nature lover’s haven on a 280 hectare South African Natural Heritage Site, situated on the spectacular Long Tom Pass (31 km from Lydenburg and 24 km from Sabie). Perched at an altitude of 1650 metres above sea level in a malaria free area.  Accommodation is 3-Star graded through the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa and accredited as Highly Recommended through the AA Quality Assured Accommodation Programme.

Misty Mountain is uniquely set in mountainous countryside with majestic views across the escarpment and into the Lowveld. Conveniently situated on the Panorama Route, Misty Mountain is an ideal base from which to explore the Mpumalanga escarpment (God’s Window, The Pinnacle, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon and world renowned Kruger National Park.
 
 
Misty Mountain has 27 chalet units (total of 84 beds) offering comfortable, country style accommodation for couples and families, with easy access to the restaurant and all other facilities. All chalets have open fireplaces, outdoor verandah, barbeque, tea/coffee facilities, fridge, mini-stove, crockery and cutlery.
 

Restaurant
A restaurant on the premises specialise in popular, country cooking and their dishes are all freshly prepared to order. They have an extensive a la carte menu, including a children’s menu and a wide and varied wine list.

Facilities & Activities
Misty Mountain offer a cozy pub, open log fire in the lounge, pool with pool deck and private residents' pool, guided quad bike trails, hiking trails, mountain bike trails, trout fishing and excellent bird watching.

Conference Facilities
