Your
Wedding
What better start could you have to your
new life together, than to make your vows before God, in this
picture-perfect little church ?
For almost a century loving couples have been making their promises
before the beautiful hand carved wooden altar, as the sun streams
through the stained glass windows blessing their union in a very special
way.

The church was
designed by Sir Herbert Baker, build by a team of Italian
stonemasons under the leadership of a Mr. Gemignani, and funded
by the local community. The building was completed in 1913, and
the church has been used for local worship every Sunday since
that date.

Up to seventy friends and family can
be seated comfortably on the polished wooden pews, with extra
seating available for around ten people in the form of
additional chairs placed at the back of the church.
Entry to St. Peter’s is through
the old lychgate, along a stone path which winds through the
stunning, landscaped gardens, under the ancient, massive
jacaranda trees, to the church steps. The gardens, and
arched entrance to the church are a photographers dream! |

For absolute convenience the wedding car is able to park right next
to the lychgate. Parking for guests close by.
The gardens are planted
in such a way that whichever time of year you choose for your
wedding, you can be assured of an abundance of natural beauty and
colour as a setting for your special event.

With
our local knowledge, we are able to assist with recommendations
for hairdressers, florists, photographers, and also for a
variety of accommodation options for the bride and groom and/or
the guests. We also have available the services of two
local organists, should you require traditional music.
There are power points in the church should you prefer recorded
or other electronic music.
 We
welcome persons of all denominations to hold their marriage services
in our lovely church, and trust that doing so will provide you, your
family and your guests with a wonderful blessing, and very happy
memories!
